How do your technology partnerships work?

As a technology supplier and creator, our partnerships can take on many forms. We design, engineer, and manufacture the full technology stack, so we can seamlessly take a project from A to Z. Depending on our partners' expertise and supply chain, we offer different levels of partnerships, all of which are unique. How many devices can FreePower charge simultaneously?

FreePower is a technology platform that is not limited by product specifications. Since we design all of FreePower's hardware and software, we can engineer it in any size to accommodate any number of devices. While existing products shipping with FreePower can charge up to 3 devices simultaneously, future FreePower products could feature many more. Learn more about our technology.

Is FreePower dangerous because the surface is so large?

The FreePower surface is totally safe! While sitting idle, it uses less power than some standard single-coil chargers. Its patented circuitry and proprietary algorithms rapidly detect chargeable devices, and it will only activate a “sweet spot” to deliver power to a precise location once a device is found. FreePower also employs advanced foreign-object detection (FOD) to ensure that power is only delivered to chargeable devices, while keys, coins, wallets, and other metal objects are simply ignored. Learn more about our technology.

What devices can charge with FreePower?

Although FreePower is designed to be fully Qi compliant, this means it is compatible with all receiving devices that operate under Qi, including devices from Apple, Samsung, and most other major manufacturers. Learn more about our technology.

What is FreePower's maximum charge rate?

FreePower can charge devices at up to 15W per device utilizing the Qi Extended Power Profile (EPP) Standard. FreePower also supports proprietary standards, like Apple Quick Charge, Google Power Profile, and Samsung Fast Charge. Learn more about our technology.

Aira plans to increase power well beyond 15W for higher power devices of the future.

What is FreePower?

FreePower is a free-position wireless charging platform. We design, engineer, and supply FreePower modules to our partners so they can integrate wireless power into their product lines. Our goal is to have FreePower available in a variety of consumer products, surfaces, and vehicles, creating a world where wireless charging is elegant, effortless, and everywhere. Learn more about our vision.

What makes FreePower better than other wireless chargers?

Most wireless chargers have a very limited “active area” that requires precise alignment for devices to charge. This small active area leads to frustrating user experiences and, if the user isn't careful, dead devices.

FreePower, on the other hand, makes the entire surface active so devices will charge no matter where they're placed. There’s no need to “align” the device or worry about whether it has been knocked out of alignment (unlike typical chargers, where you might wake up to a dead phone because you bumped your nightstand and moved the device off the active area). With FreePower, you can simply drop your device on the charger without a second thought. The FreePower experience offers unparalleled convenience and peace of mind, so we encourage you to try it out. Where can I buy a FreePower wireless charger?

FreePower is not a consumer brand, so we do not sell wireless chargers directly. We are a technology supplier that engineers FreePower, our proprietary free-position wireless charging platform. We partner with OEMs and brands to bring our tech to market through integrations with their products. So, while we don’t sell FreePower chargers, you can still purchase Engineered with FreePower products through our collaborators.
